Matt is an award-winning virtuoso trumpeter, rapper and songwriter who made his main stage Carnegie Hall debut as a featured soloist with the NY Pops Orchestra, and can currently be heard at your next event pairing his classic NYC jazz roots with cutting-edge DJ’s and electronica. Matt has been hailed as “Taking Jazz into the Future” by Downbeat Magazine, “a post-millennial Chet Baker” by The New York Times and winner of the Independent Music Awards’ Jazz Artist of The Year as judged by rock icon Lou Reed. Matt earned his Bachelors degree from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and his Masters from New York University.
